After completing this course, learners will be able to develop comprehensive strategic plans that integrate healthcare policy requirements and align organizational goals with national health priorities and regulatory frameworks. Learners will gain practical skills to assess external and internal environments using analytical tools such as PESTLE analysis and SWOT analysis, design logic models that map activities to outcomes, and evaluate whether organizational strategies remain aligned with evolving policies. Learners will be equipped to identify alignment gaps within healthcare organizations, recommend evidence-based improvements to enhance strategy alignment, and use data analytics to monitor ongoing policy compliance and strategic effectiveness.
While not required, learners will benefit from foundational knowledge of healthcare systems, basic understanding of organizational management, and familiarity with healthcare policy concepts. Prior exposure to project management principles or experience in healthcare administration would enhance understanding of strategic planning applications. Learners without this background can still succeed, as the course explains planning frameworks and policy concepts from foundational principles and provides practical examples throughout.
