After completing this course, learners will be able to navigate complex healthcare regulatory environments by identifying key regulatory bodies and understanding their respective roles in ensuring quality care and patient safety. Learners will develop practical skills to assess compliance gaps, evaluate regulatory risks, and design targeted strategies to address non-compliance issues within healthcare organizations. Learners will be equipped to create compliance tools such as regulatory checklists and implement systemic approaches to maintaining adherence with evolving healthcare laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
While not required, learners will benefit from foundational knowledge of healthcare systems, basic understanding of healthcare administration, and familiarity with organizational management principles. Prior experience working in healthcare settings or exposure to healthcare policy concepts would enhance contextual understanding of regulatory challenges. Learners without this background can still succeed, as the course explains regulatory concepts from foundational principles and provides practical examples throughout.
