After completing this course, learners will be able to analyze healthcare policies to identify barriers that prevent service integration and evaluate how different policy approaches support or hinder coordinated care. Learners will develop practical skills to assess the real-world impacts of integrated care on patient outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and provider collaboration. Learners will also be equipped to design evidence-based policy recommendations and communicate integration strategies using visual tools and stakeholder engagement approaches applicable to their own healthcare systems.

While not required, learners will benefit from foundational knowledge of healthcare systems, basic understanding of health policy processes, and familiarity with healthcare delivery models. Prior exposure to healthcare management concepts or experience working within healthcare organizations would be helpful for contextualizing policy discussions. Learners without this background can still succeed in the course, as key concepts are explained from foundational principles.
