Discuss the key regulatory standards and frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, CMS regulations, OIG guidance) that healthcare organizations must comply with. Identify and describe specialized audit tools and resources utilized for assessing compliance with healthcare regulations. Apply compliance auditing methodologies to assess a healthcare organization's adherence to regulations and identify specific gaps in compliance. Analyze the integral role of internal controls in preventing non-compliance and their assessment within a compliance audit framework. Completion of Introduction to Healthcare Audits course or prior experience with healthcare risk management and regulatory frameworks.
